Are these the end of days? Nope… just mortgage interest rates returning to historical norms.
Mortgage interest rates below 4% are not that common. Recent is not necessarily typical.
Enter a spreadsheet I made that allows you to put in an interest rate and find out how likely you are to be able to get that rate (or better) looking at historical mortgage interest rates going back to 1971.
I call it my Mortgage Interest Rate Confidence Meter™ and you can download a copy of the newest version of this useful spreadsheet below.
A 58 means that 58% of the time… mortgage interest rates were at 8% or better.
But, that means that 42% of the time, they were worse!
